Tiffany Stained Glass Class

Learn the Basics of stained glass using the Tiffany or copperfoil method. In this 6 weeks clas students will make a small suncatcher and construct a small glass panel. Learn how to cut glass, solder metals, and build a simple metal frame for the panel. Characteristics of glass will also be discussed. Most tools are provided, but the student will need to purchase supplies for the small glass panel. Glass supplies are available at the studio. Cost: $150 Plus supplies.

Sculpting Bas Relief Heart Assemblages

Create a beautiful and distinctly unique wall piece to hang or give to the one you love in this "just in time for Valentine's Day" workshop. In the first class, you will build a simple but dramatic heart with air dry clay. After dried you will embellish the heart with wire, paint or collage and then personalize by creating mini niches, tiny doors, or wings. Some materials provided. Cost: $65
Make a Stained Glass Heart Suncatcher

Make a beautiful stained glass heart suncatcher in this 3 hour workshop. No previous experience is required. In this workshop you will learn to cut glass, learn simple soldering techniques and go home with a finished gift for a loved one or special treat for yourself. All supplies and use of tools are included in this workshop. Cost: $35
Wine Bottle Cheese Tray

Technique Tuesday

Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
In this class you will learn over 50 mixed media techniques over four Tuesday evening classes. The class will be broken down into the following categories: collage, printmaking, painting, and drawing. These techniques can be added to your existing bag of tricks, used for sketchbook starters, used in visual journals, or any mixed media project. Some can be artwork all by themselves. Sign up for all four or just the ones that sound interesting. Cost: $25 per class or $80 for four classes.
Watercolor Basket

Time: 10 am - 1 pm
Join us for an exploration of watercolor and mixed media techniques on heavy watercolor paper. Some of the techniques we will explore nclude applying a wash, dry brush, wet into wet, mingling, charging, salts, sgraffito, sanding, resists, collage of papers and fibers, use of inks, pencils, markers and crayons. The paper is painted on both sides, allowed to dry and then cut into strips. During the second session, we will plait a twill basket of variegated colors. Class meets two sessions. Cost: $65
